Volume production & repeat-order coordination

Plan material readiness, released revisions, acceptance checks and delivery schedules for pilot builds, volume production and repeat orders.

Prepare a production plan for the demand you expect

A production enquiry needs more than the quantity of the next build. Share the current order, expected monthly or annual demand, target dates and any delivery splits. Hehong coordinates these requirements with project-specific manufacturing partners. Capacity, purchasing commitments, lead times and responsibilities are confirmed before ordering.

Connect each stage of the build

  1. Release engineering requirements. Confirm the BOM, Gerber, placement data, drawings, programming files and acceptance criteria. Record ECN requirements, their effective revision and the batches they apply to. Confirm who approves open engineering questions before release.
  2. Confirm the material plan. Separate customer-supplied and purchased items, review availability and packaging, and agree approved alternatives. Coordinate purchasing only against the agreed scope and approvals; track shortages and their effect on the schedule.
  3. Prepare the production handover. Agree panelisation, special operations, fixtures, programming and test requirements with the selected partner. Connect the released files and material status to the planned production batch.
  4. Agree first-article release and inspection. Define the checks, records and approval owner before continuing the batch. Identify inspection and functional-test coverage, acceptance criteria and how exceptions will be escalated.
  5. Follow the batch and delivery plan. Track agreed milestones, production questions and changes. Confirm labels, packaging, batch records and any partial deliveries before dispatch. Report schedule changes with the affected quantity and next action.
  6. Prepare the repeat order. Reconfirm demand, material availability, pricing and lead time. Review any new revisions or ECNs, previous open issues and agreed test requirements before reusing a production package.

Agree the handover at each boundary

For each stage, identify the owner, required input, approval and record passed to the next team. An unresolved shortage, engineering question or inspection exception should have a named decision owner and an agreed next step.
